Let’s Go On Our Spiritual Journey together!
Wherever you are along the way–taking your first exploratory steps or a little way down the path, connecting with others will help you move further along in the process. Small Groups give you the opportunity to meet with other travelers In individual homes to study the Bible together and nurture Christian friendships with each other.
God. Life. Faith. What’s the Point? Make time to find out. If you’re new to faith, just checking it out, or coming back to church after some time away, Starting Point is a great first step. It’s an 8-week conversational small group environment where you can explore faith and experience community. To learn more more, join us for a 10-minute orientation Sunday, Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m. or 12:05 p.m. in the Commons. The first session of the 8-week small group will begin Sunday, Sept. 10 at 9:00 a.m. If you can’t make it to the orientation, visit us online at 801South.org and click on Starting Point or Register Here.
Open Small groups include the Joyous Journeyers, a group of women that meet Wednesday’s at 1:30 in each others homes in the Matthews’s area. They are studying Sacred Rhythms by Ruth Haley Barton. For information or questions on this small group please contact Rose.
Recommendations for studies are provided at the start of each new Small Group session, some choose a study of their own. After 6 – 8 weeks, groups may take a break, and then a new group session will begin. Participants may stay in their group to continue, or can join another group at the end of each session. New people will be added to existing groups when there is room. New groups form throughout the year.
