A Way Forward: Healthy Conversations about the United Methodist Church and Human Sexuality

We are not of one mind when discussing human sexuality and The United Methodist Church.  Specifically, the issues of same-gender marriage and the ordination of homosexuals have proven to be particularly divisive. You are invited to participate in a respectful, grace-filled conversation about these differing viewpoints within our denomination. We’ll examine the 44-year history of the denomination’s position on homosexuality, discuss the varied understanding of biblical passages which speak about this issue, and consider the implications of differing perspectives within our church today. Led by Rev. Amy Coles, Assistant to Bishop Leeland  and a delegate to the 2016 General Conference, First class led by Pastor Chuck Wilson, Wednesday Evenings, 7:00-8:30 pm, September 20-October 18.  Register Now
