If you need assistance logging in, please follow this instruction page. Once you’ve logged in, online giving is at your fingertips under the Giving tab! View Online Giving Frequently Asked Questions.
Does online giving “count”?
Yes, it absolutely counts. Those who prefer to give in the offering plate on Sunday morning may still continue to give that way. However, making an online gift is also an act of faithful discipleship. In fact, online giving can help us live into the Biblical idea of “first fruits.” Just like many of us manage our retirement or savings, online giving allows us to decide on a proportion or percentage of our income and to give to God FIRST.
Can I view my giving history?
Sure! You can view your contribution record by logging into your matthewsumc.me account. Matthewsumc.me is a secure portal for church members to access all types of information. Check it out! You can start here.
Is it safe to give online?
Yes, it is very safe. The online giving link within matthewsumc.me connects you with our online giving provider, Vanco Services. Vanco Services is a PCI (Payment Card Industry) Level 1 Compliant Service Provider, which requires Vanco to adhere to a rigorous set of security standards and undergo comprehensive onsite assessments by independent auditors on a regular basis. Vanco is dedicated to protecting the personal information and privacy, security and confidentiality of its clients. View Vanco’s complete Privacy and Security Policy at ElectronicDonations.com.
What types of accounts can I give from?
You can give online from your checking, savings account, debit or credit card.
Are there any fees involved with online giving?
As the donor, you will not pay any fees with an online gift. However, the church does incur a small fee for processing. It is most cost effective for the church if online donations are set up as e-check (or ACH) transactions rather than debit cards.
Can I make one-time contributions and/or set up a recurring gift?
Yes. The system allows you the option of either making a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to process from your bank account, savings account, or debit card at a frequency you choose. For recurring gifts, you have several options including one time, weekly, or monthly gifts.
Once I set it up, can I change my personal information or adjust the amount or frequency of the gift?
Yes, you can change or cancel your contributions at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log into your matthewsumc.me account and make the necessary changes in the system.
