GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays
This helpful, encouraging program is for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death. The seminar will be held Tuesday, November 14, 6:30 pm in Room 152 at Matthews United Methodist and Monday, December 11, at 6:30 pm at Wesley United Methodist, 3715 Rea Rd., Charlotte. The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death. Topics to be discussed include dealing with hard-hitting emotions, what to do about traditions, how to survive social events, and where to find comfort and strength.

Attendees will receive a Survival Guide filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas, and exercises for daily help through the holiday season.

Hope in the Holidays Worship Service – Sunday, December 3, at 4 pm, at Wesley UMC. This service is a collaborative effort between Sharon UMC and Wesley UMC for anyone who has experienced a loss and are struggling during the Holiday season.
